Information you submit

Dreams Decoded lets you paste a dream, receive an AI-generated interpretation, and ask follow-up questions about that dream. The text you submit may include personal details if you choose to include them. You should avoid entering highly sensitive information, passwords, financial details, medical records, or anything you would not want processed by an AI service.

If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide so we can receive and respond to your request.

Accounts and saved dreams

Dreams Decoded now offers optional member accounts. If you create an account, we store your email address, encrypted password, profile preferences, saved dreams, notes, tags, follow-up conversation history, and other journal data needed to provide the member experience.

This saved journal data stays tied to your account so you can return to older dreams, continue the conversation, and use private member tools such as exports and account deletion.

AI processing

Dream submissions and follow-up questions are sent from our server to OpenAI in order to generate an interpretation or reply. OpenAI acts as a third-party AI provider for this feature. Their processing of API data is governed by their own policies and terms.

Server logs and technical data

Like most websites, the hosting provider may keep basic technical logs such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, requested pages, and error logs. These logs are used for security, debugging, and keeping the service running.

Cookies and analytics

Dreams Decoded uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand basic website traffic, such as page views, referrers, approximate location, browser type, and device type. This analytics service is used without advertising cookies, user accounts, or tracking profiles.

Analytics data is used to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site. We do not send dream text, follow-up messages, contact form content, names, or email addresses to analytics.
